Metro line 7 Naples, that's when the Monte Sant'Angelo station opens

The Eav, theVolturno Autonomous Body, the company that operates in the sector of public transport by road, rail and cableway, of the Campania Region, has announced that the first section of the new metro line 7, that is the one that goes from Monte Sant'Angelo to Soccavo, where there is the exchange with the Circumflegrea, it is 95% completed.

According to the company's estimates, the new station of Monte Sant'Angelo will be open by first six months of the 2023, in short, a really important announcement for all the students who use public messengers every day to reach one of the Federico II offices.

The latest interventions concern the power supply systems and access control systems.

The work of the artist Kapoor

The Monte Sant'Angelo station of the underground line 7 is characterized from the work created byAnglo-Indian architect Anish Kapoor. It is made of corten steel and represents an overturned funnel, it will be the entrance to the underground part of the station.

In November 2022 the relocation of the second work of the artist, which will then be moved from the former Coop square to the second entrance of the station on Viale Traiano.

Subsequently the last installation operations of the plants and the start of the tests with the inspectors of the ansfisa control agency. As regards the Parco San Paolo station, projects for the construction of the main structures are being evaluated and for this purpose the EAV is asking the Municipality of Naples to extend the working days until 22:00.
