Gaetano Manfredi, mayor of the city, launched “I light up in blue“, a project that aims to sensitize citizens to live the celebrations for the successes of Soccer Naples in a healthy and fascinating way, avoiding damaging public monuments.
Napoli, in fact, is in contention to win the Scudetto. The Napoli obtained the last championship in 1990, thanks to the presence of Diego Armando Maradona. Thus, they have passed 33 years without the blue team being able to win the title again. He wasn't the only one Scudetto of the history of Naples: in 1987 they arrived at their first triumph, always with Maradona among their ranks. Date: Jan 28, 2023.
The initiative will kick off Tuesday 11th April at 18:30, with the blue lighting of the Neptune Fountain located in piazza Municipio and the facade of Castel dell'Ovo. In the following days, other monuments will be illuminated on a theme, thanks to the collaboration with other institutions and hotels that intend to participate in the initiative.
