At the Naples PAN there will be an exhibition on Salvador Dalì, the great genius of Surrealism who has made countless masterpieces!

Doubts about the mystery of the Salvador Dalí billboards in Naples can finally be dispelled because it is an initiative to advertise an exhibition that will open at the PAN – Palazzo delle Arti in Naples from 1 March to 10 June.

The exhibition, titled "I Dalí ," will feature drawings, videos, paintings, magazines, and photographs that will allow us to discover the genesis of a multifaceted and brilliant figure and his secret life . It will explore Dalí's "other life ," the lesser-known one that was essential and fundamental to the birth of the artist we know today.

The location certainly promises to be successful also because in the past it has hosted many other exhibitions by international artists, most recently that of the photographer Sebastião Salgado.

Io Dalì exhibition: three-dimensional art, paintings, drawings, photos and videopearances

The central core of the exhibition, around which everything revolves, are the masterpieces of the late 60s and throughout the 70s , those that saw him confront the search for the third dimension, anticipating what we know today as 3D.

There are stereoscopic works that allow us to see the painting in three dimensions , paintings that can be admired using specific equipment that enhances the three-dimensional effects.

There will also be magnificent photographs taken by Philippe Helsman featuring Dalí's famous moustache . In some shots, he is posed, in others, immortalized during moments of his daily life. These images further illustrate how the Spanish artist, through his distinctive features like his moustache and wide-eyed gaze, sought to perpetuate his image.

The exhibition at the PAN will feature, as mentioned, primarily paintings , drawings, and photographs , but there will also be films and longer videos that demonstrate Dalí's approach and how he loved to use media as a performative act , as powerful tools for self-presentation. They are also considered fundamental tools for storytelling. The exhibition therefore allows you to admire his frequent forays into the media, from magazine covers to his appearances as a guest on television programs and competitions.

The exhibition was sponsored by the City of Naples, the Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, and was co-organized with COR Creare Organizzare Realizzare (Create, Organize, Realize). It is curated by Laura Bartolomé and Lucia Moni for the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí , and by Francesca Villanti, scientific director of COR, with the scientific advisory services of Montse Aguer, director of the Dalí Museums , and Rosa Maria Maurell.
