The Rione Sanità in Naples will host a monumental exhibition for Totò to pay homage to it in the 50 years since its disappearance.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the death of Totò and Naples, his beloved city, will not fail to pay him a tribute to remember him with a series of events and initiatives. Among these, there will be one monumental exhibition in the Rione Sanità, the neighborhood where the Prince of Laughter was born and who is already mobilizing for install a silhouette and a bust in streets and squares. The exhibition, on the other hand, will be an excursus among the a thousand faces of the great artist.
The inauguration will definitely take place on 15 April 2017, the date on which the anniversary of death will occur and the event will be presented in all its details by February 15th. This will, in fact, be the day on which Totò would have accomplished 119 years and on this occasion it will also be communicated the precise place where the exhibition will be set up.
As mentioned, they will be exposed memorabilia and objects that will show us all the faces of Totò, pieces that will deepen both the Totò man and the poet, playwright, singer and philosopher. And fundamental will be the help of the Prince's niece, Elenca Anticoli de Curtis, daughter of Liliana de Curtis and promoter of the event. Thanks to her, and to the journalist Vincenzo Mollica to whom the exhibition is entrusted, the tribute to one of the most important artists in Italian history will be complete.
