The exhibition Pompeii and the Greeks set up at the Scavi presents to the public over 600 precious finds among ceramics, weapons and sculptures!

From 12 April to 27 November 2017 i Ruins of Pompeii they will host in the Great Gym the shows Pompeii and the Greeks. The organization is managed by the general manager Massimo Osanna, by professor Carlo Rescigno and by architect Bernard Tschumi in collaboration with Electa.

There will be over 600 exhibits on display, also from Stabiae, Sorrento, Cuma, Metaponto. Among the many objects you can admire sculptures, weapons, ceramics and architectural ornaments. The story of themeeting between the Vesuvian city and the Greek Mediterranean, which has always been a crossroads of a thousand cultures. Commercial and cultural relations will be reconstructed following the crafts, decorative styles and wall inscriptions of the time.

The exhibition, set up on 13 thematic areas, includes three immersive audiovisual installations. Pompeii and the Greeks represents the first stage of a larger program created together with the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. In June it will be inaugurated in June at MANN an exhibition on Greek myths and on the theme of metamorphosis in the Roman world.

To complement this exhibition, the exhibition has been set up Divine loves al Archaeological Museum of Naples.
