New exhibition season at the Madre Museum in Naples with exhibitions by the artists Vettor Pisani and Pàdraig Timoney and many special events
Il Mother Museum, contemporary art museum in Naples located inside the suggestive building of the Donnaregina Foundation, in the historic center, it is experiencing a truly golden moment in 2013, thanks to the new direction of Andrea Villani.
After the restyling of the logo and the image of its "brand" to the public, the Mother museum presented an interesting one artistic season last spring, and has recently also announced the new winter exhibition season, accompanied by many new features to better involve visitors in a new experience and in a new contact with art.
This is the program scheduled for the coming months, until May 2014.

Vettor Pisani | Heroic / Antihero, a retrospective
The first is the most complete retrospective ever dedicated to one of the most important contemporary artists. Vettor Pisani, ischitan of origins, is one of the most interesting and visionary exponents of the artistic panorama of the Years' 70, up to the present day. In his works, linguistic and aesthetic provocations are mixed, and different modes of expression, from art to literature, from theater to music, from architecture to the occult sciences. An artist who is also a forerunner "Who knew how to combine conceptual investigation with irony, language play with role play, masking in search of truth, great history with the most trivial news, the sacred with the profane, the art of the past with the provocations of the present ".

Second chapter of the project of the Mother Museum which has as its objective the formation of one permanent artistic collection. In addition to those already added in the first part of the project, works by conceptual artists such as Vincenzo Agnetti, Robert Barry, Douglas Huebler, in addition to those of Joseph Beuys di We are the revolution, also including performative, theatrical and artistic actions.
The performance languages will be analyzed, through works by Free Space, Zoo and Gianni Pisani, and of sculpture, with works by George Brecht, one of the main animators of the Fluxus movement, e Dennis Oppenheim, both made in Naples in the seventies.
Space also for the “poorest” materials and primary elements (fire, air, water, earth) in the works of Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Gilberto Zorio or in the installation / action Italian garden di Gino Marotta.

Pàdraig Timoney | at lu tiempo de ...
This is the first and largest exhibition dedicated to the Irish artist Pàdraig Timoney from a public institution. The works on display, about fifty, represent a symbolic return of Timoney to Naples, his place of residence and production from 2004 to 2011, before moving to New York.
The ecelectic Irish artist has created works by experimenting with different languages, from painting to photography, from sculpture to installation. It may seem that his works do not have coherence and unity, due to the most varied use of techniques and means of expression, but in reality a rigorous and conscious artistic strategy is respected in his works, "At the center of which we find both a critique of the notion of" style "as well as the desire to explore art in all its aesthetic and conceptual potential". Surrealist, minimalist and informal trends and photography chase each other in his works, iin which the spectator is free to look for his own meanings.

Gastronomic events that revolutionize the café area of the Madre Museum, transforming it into a space to entertain the public under the banner of one tasty lunch break.
