Sunday 2 April 2017 the state museums will be free in Naples, as well as monuments, historic buildings, parks and archaeological sites!
Sunday April 2 2017 you can again dedicate your day to cultural activities because i Naples museums will be free, thanks to the now famous #DomenicalMuseo initiative.
It has been going on for almost 3 years, thanks to the Franceschini decree, and over time it has seen an increasing number of visitors, who in thousands they are poured into many cultural sites of the city and of the whole region to discover our immense historical heritage.
In addition to museums, you can visit archaeological sites, historical and noble buildings, parks, gardens, spas and many other state places. In the project there is always the idea of extending the initiative to private sites and foundations, but for the moment these subjects have not joined. We hope that this will be the case in the future, in order to open as many artistic and cultural sites as possible to the general public.
From Sunday 2 April, timed entry to the Pompeii excavations will be restored for the first Sunday of each month.
