Free museums return to Naples and Sunday 3 July 2016 you just have to choose which one you prefer to visit!

Like every first Sunday of the month, also the July 3 2016 there will be i free museums in Naples, an initiative that follows the Saturday Museum Day 2 July. Indeed, all state museums, as well as i archaeological sites, monuments, parks and monumental gardens, will be freely open to the public and will allow us to discover even more our cultural heritage.

For this Sunday, the openings are dedicated to figurative representation of the sea through the works of the various museums. The aim is to make known the iconography of the sea in the various collections of the Italian cultural heritage. Specifically, in Naples you can admire two important works: the Royal lance of Umberto I of Savoy at the Museum of San Martino and the painting by Antonio Joli, "Departure of Charles of Bourbon for Spain“, In the Capodimonte Museum. Also, in Pompeii there is the Casa della Fontana Piccola.

You will not be discouraged by the heat that will come and you can choose, from the list that we propose below, which of the sites you do not know you want to visit.

This initiative has been going on for two years now, on the initiative of Minister Franceschini, and every month it flows, in the many open museums, thousands of citizens and tourists. The most chosen places are usually the museums of Naples like that of Capodimonte or the Archaeological Museum, but also the Royal Palace of Caserta (among the campania sites) records every time thousands of visits.
