New traffic device for the Chiaia area during the Christmas period
The website of the Municipality of Naples has informed the citizens about the new traffic device in the Chiaia area for the Christmas period. During the Christmas holidays, the ordinance will hit some specific streets. Vehicle transit will be changed for most of the holiday period, but will be effective on the following days: 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31 December 2013 and 4 and 5 January 2014.
During these dates it will be first canceled the previous one Statutory Ordinance n. 1202 (prohibition of vehicular transit on Saturday, from 10.00 to 13.30 and from 16.00 to 22.00 hours) and established the new ordinance which provides for the ban vehicular in the below listed roads:
- Via Morelli from via Vannella Gaetani to piazza dei Martiri;
- Piazza dei Martiri in the roadway outside the planters;
- Via Santa Caterina in Chiaia;
- Via S. Maria a Cappella Vecchia;
- Caprioli ramp;
- Via Chiaia (stretch of Piazza Santa Caterina in Chiaia Palazzo Cellammare);
- Via Filangieri;
- Via dei Mille.
Opening hours
- For the 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30 December 2013 and 4 and 5 January 2014 days in the following times: 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00.
- For the day 31 December: from 10.00 to 14.00.
Who can move
- vehicles in possession of the "Morelli, Filangieri, Mille" ZTL access pass issued in accordance with the Trade Union Ordinance no. 655 of 15.06.2012, belonging to the following categories:
- residents;
- domiciled;
- non-residents, holders of parking space off-road;
- holders of vehicles for goods transport for services inside the LTZ;
- Companies and companies providing public services;
- hoteliers, for customer vehicles;
- garages, for customer vehicles;
- doctors with the obligation of home visits to patients residing within the ZTL;
- owners of vehicles for functions of public interest, who exhibit a special permit issued by the Municipal Administration for particular needs that require the use of a vehicle;
- public and non-scheduled public transport (buses, taxis, public car hire with driver);
- motor vehicles transporting disabled people with significantly reduced walking ability, provided with the card referred to in the DMLL.PP. 1176 08.06.79, regularly issued by the competent authorities, as well as the vehicles of the Naples Social Transportation for the disabled;
- vehicles of law enforcement, emergency and rescue forces.
The aforementioned vehicles will be able to access through the guarded gate of via Morelli, at the intersection with via Vannella Gaetani.
