Zeppole, panzarotti, pizzas, fried foods, sfogliatelle and so on and so forth ... are the protagonists of the highly anticipated festival of traditional Neapolitan cuisine strictly in take away version!
In recent years Naples has undergone a real revolution in terms of "Street food". Kebab, pita, the brand new Chiptar, hot dogs, muffins, cupcakes, macaroons ... all very good, but all international.
A huge contradiction given that our city is the undisputed capital of good food, above all of that tasted Fuienne fuienne.
To rediscover the typical Neapolitan cuisine in a "street" version, the appointment is fixed at Piazza del Gesù, on 13 December 2014 with the "Napoli Strit Food Festival".
The event, organized on the occasion of the Night of Art 2014, will be just a preview of the actual event scheduled for spring 2015. The ingenious found, organized by Giulio Cacciapuoti's "Love Studio" and by the Tourism Promotion System, is the brainchild of Giovanni Khan della Corte, creator of the famous brand "JohnnyPizzaPortafoglio".
After some experiences abroad, the Neapolitan entrepreneur managed to make Neapolitan excellence, pizza, one street food well known by citizens and tourists: the famous wallet pizza.
At the December festival, at least 30 restaurants at 4 wheels, the so-called food trucks, will offer visitors zeppole, panzarotti, pizzas, taralli, fried pizzas, coppi, fritture, montanare, supplì, puffs, babà and much more concerns the good Neapolitan cuisine, strictly in the take away version.
An initiative also interesting from a point of view cultural: the past, the Neapolitan culinary tradition, will meet the present, the new street food fashion. A city that has become, therefore, really international, unraveling between ethnic, American, European and historical-traditional citizen food.
