From April to 7 7 May 2023, Naples becomes the stage for a unique gastronomic experience that unites stories, insights, show cooking, tastings and music. The "See Naples and then Eat" review was promoted and financed by theDepartment of Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples, led by Teresa Armato.
The objective of the review is to make know the identity of Naples starting from its food heritage, but also from the history and culture of the city. Combining theory and practice, the review offers a journey of discovery of the typical dishes of Neapolitan cuisine, enriched by curiosities and anecdotes. All appointments are at free admission on reservation on eventbrite.it by the organizers.
The review proposes events that tell the Neapolitan cuisine and its international vocation, with musical performances, show cooking and tastings in various locations around the city. The program runs between the historic centre, east Naples and west Naples.
The Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, said:
«The goal is to tell Naples and its cultural identity in the round, traditional dishes and recipes are the expression of one of the most appreciated food heritage in the world and it is important that it is valued and disseminated. Good food and good music will welcome visitors to the city in the coming weeks".
