Tribute to the unforgettable Massimo Troisi at the Metropolitan cinema in via Chiaia for the 20th anniversary of his death. Free screening of "We just have to cry"
Twenty years ago he died Massimo Troisi, one of the Neapolitan actors, directors and screenwriters most admired by the Italian but also international public. His films represented, and still represent today, a turning point in the world of Neapolitan comedy of the time, and some scenes, situations and jokes have entered the collective imagination of each of us.
Comedies like I start again from three, Sorry for the delay e Che non ci remained piangere, are considered milestones in the history of Italian cinema. His latest film, The postman, shot in Procida in the 1994, was nominated for five Oscars two years after his death, happened for cardiac arrest the 4 June 1994, only 12 hours after the end of the filming of what today represents his moral testament.
To pay homage Massimo Trosi il Martos Metropolitan cinema in via Chiaia will organize one projection with free admission of one of his most beloved films by the public, Che non ci remained piangere (1984) filmed and performed by Massimo Troisi e Roberto Benigni, which tells of an extravagant journey through time of the teacher Saverio (Roberto Benigni) and the janitor Mario (Massimo Troisi) who find themselves catapulted into Renaissance Italy, "In 1492 almost 1500", between situations and gag hilarious and full of comedy.
Tomorrow, 4 June 2014, twenty years after the disappearance of Massimo Troisi, all fans of the actor and his films can go to the multiplex Martos Metropolitan of via Chiaia at 20: 30 to attend the special screening of Che non ci remained piangere. This event was strongly supported by Gianni Simioli, Mario Pelliccia, Vincenzo D'Aniello and by Francesco Emilio Borrelli who declared: “A triple anniversary that could not go unnoticed. This is why we are proposing a classic in a cinema in the living room of the city, just as we did last February for Luciano De Crescenzo, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of Thus spoke Bellavista".
Gianni Simioli and Borrelli then stated: “Remembering Massimo on this date is a duty. For those who love him, and have loved his work, Massimo has never left. At the screening will be present Tullio De Piscopo who, at the beginning of the evening, will read the poem that Benigni dedicated to Troisi shortly after his death and a video interview will be projected to Amanda Sandrelli, which on the set of Che non ci remained piangere played the young Pia. Still to be confirmed the presence of Foja who should perform in some songs of the soundtrack of Il Postino and in Quando di Pino Daniele, soundtrack of I thought it was love instead it was a buggy.
