La Round Diaz of Naples will be the theater of the August 15th, 2017 to the Night of Tammorra, free concert dedicated to popular music. It falls into the events planned for Ferragosto in the city.
Curated by the association "The song of Virgil", sponsored by the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Naples and included in the calendar of Summer in Naples 2017, The Night of Tammorra, come to his XVII edition, will be a real marathon of folk music.
Il Ferragosto on Waterfront of Naples, as well as from fireworks display, will therefore be animated by this historic event, which renews the ancient traditions of songs and dances inspired by the tammorra, an instrument that evokes great charm even among the youngest.
The artists of the Night of Tammorra
The party will start with the classic tammurriata, performed by the masters Raffaele Inserra dei Monti Lattari and Antonio Esposito known as Tonino 'or Stocco. Then the BandaRotta group will perform, which with songs of protest and love tells the anger and joy of living in the Bagnoli district, and the great Marcello Colasurdo, historical exponent of the popular bell music.
With Paola Salurso, Caterina Maione and Discede there will then be space for the sounds and songs of the Cilento and Amalfi. Aluei, or Louis Siciliano, winner of a Silver Ribbon and composer of soundtracks, will worthily represent folk, with the collaboration of Enzo Stendardo's Tammorre laboratory.
Important moment will be the set of Carlo Faiello and his Dionysian band that will welcome on stage Fausta Vetere, historical voice of the New Society of Popular Singing, as well as young Neapolitan voices such as Fiorenza Calogero and Emanuela De Vivo.
In addition to music, there will be theatrical moments taken care of by Matteo Mauriello and the stage of folk dances by Mariagrazia Altieri.
