Beyond the Screen: Bagnoli hosts a review of eight films that celebrate Naples and its role in the cinema

A series of projections, concerts e meetings they will take place in the Bagnoli Auditorium, located in the former Italsider area. This programming, which continues after the start of last December, will take place after decades of closure of the facility. The event features eight films shot in Naples to highlight the crucial role of the city in thenational audiovisual industry and two concerts to celebrate the intrinsic connection between cinema and music.

Program of the event

The event is divided into a series of film screenings set and shot in Naples, demonstrating the importance of the city in the Italian film scene. To these are added two concerts, aimed at enhancing the link between the movies , music.

Orchestra: “New Scarlatti Orchestra”
Conductor: Federico Odling Totò's Symphony is an absolutely original project, conceived by Federico Odling, in collaboration with the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, to celebrate in music Totò, a 'global' and 'total' artist ante litteram. Odling (a multifaceted figure of musician, composer, performer, musical leader of the Virtuosi di San Martino and, as such, ideal interpreter of the world of Totò) collects the thousand inventions and irresistible gimmicks of the soundtracks of the popular cinematic successes of the great Neapolitan comedian and the he reworks and recomposes them into a real symphony.
