The Capodimonte Observatory at the Cloister of San Marcellino for the Researchers' Night

THEAstronomical Observatory of Capodimonte in Naples participates, as every year, in the European Researchers' Night.
This year, however, it does so in Cloister of the Saints Marcellino and Festo at the Federico II University of Naples in the historic center.

The Observatory will be present on 24 September 2021, with other academic, scientific and cultural institutions in the city to propose experiments, WORKSHOPS and other activities for both adults and children.
Events directed not only to an audience already passionate about astronomy, but also to those who are very curious and would like to know more.

The events at the Cloister: the program

In the beautiful location of the Cloister, scientists will organize fun educational workshops and will also make observations to telescopes. At 10.30 the event will be held "The Sun in Naples"It will be possible to observe the sun with suitable filters in visible light and in the H-Alpha band to see the typical sunspots and the protuberances of the edge,

All 16.00 hoursinstead, there will be the event "The constellation tube”For children between 4 and 7 years to discover the stars and constellations together. Finally, the event "A night for astronomers”With experiments for all dedicated to cosmic light.

During the events there will be gadgets and Astronomer diploma for one night.
