Anti-waste plan in Naples: 70 street sweepers, hundreds of new bins and maxi-fines

The Municipality of Naples decided to implement a anti-waste crying which will be used to clean up the streets of the historic center of the city, recently invaded by piles of garbage. In particular, the number of employees for the manual sweeping of streets and sidewalks will be increased, the goal is to make the city clean also in view of the Christmas holidays.

What the anti-waste plan provides

The anti-waste plan established by the Municipality of Naples provides for the installation of 100 baskets of Asia in the streets of the historic center, from via Toledo to Via Tribunali, passing through Largo Giusso, Piazza del Gesù and Piazza Mercato. THE baskets will be emptied 6 times a day in the most crowded places. Then 70 street sweepers will arrive, who will be assigned to the manual sweeping of the streets, even in the afternoon.

The penalties for those who transgress

In addition, penalties will also be applied to all those who dirty the city, leaving the waste outside the bins. In particular, fines will go dfrom a minimum of 25 euros to a maximum of 550 euros and will be applied to those who throw the bags outside the scheduled times, in places that are not allowed and do not carry out adequate differentiation.

In short, a decision that will allow the City of Naples to be more liveable and above all cleaner, raising citizens' awareness on an important issue.
