Snail Squares 2023. Piana di Monte Verna (CE)

In the heart of the province of Caserta, precisely a Piana di Monte Verna, the 11th edition of “Snail Squares”. This culinary event, which is part of the 10th International Heliciculture Conference, will take place on the weekend of 28-29 October 2023. Known as the City of Snails, Piana di Monte Verna could not fail to celebrate this delicious mollusc which plays a central role in local gastronomy.

Il menu of the event is a fusion of tradition and innovation, with a specific focus on the snails bred in the Coclè Park of Piana di Monte Verna. Guests will have the opportunity to savor a wide range of dishes, ranging from appetizers of bruschetta with snails to the snail pizza.

There will also be snails served fried or in the oven traditional snail soup in red. In addition to snail dishes, other culinary delights will be offered such as polenta with sauce and parmesan, peperonata with potatoes and sausage, and other specialties.
