“As Mayor of the City Gold Medal for the Four Days, I feel particularly proud and proud of the historical and political primacy of Naples, which rose up against the Germans before this happened in any other major European city. I look with admiration at the courage, at the civil passion of the Neapolitans who - seventy years ago - sacrificed themselves for the construction of a democratic and anti-fascist country. I am sure that this connotation has constituted the best and most lasting distinguishing feature. Today, my commitment is to promote and consolidate it on every occasion ”.
