The return to Naples bike routes organized by Naples Pedala and it's about two beautiful itineraries of the third Randonnée, one of the stages of the Rando Tour Campania and Rando Tour Magna Grecia.
Both paths depart from the Mostra d'Oltremare to then reach different places through many municipalities in our province. They will also reach the Vesuvius National Park and the area of Campi Flegrei up to the Litorale Domitio. There is also a beautiful tribute to Maradona with a bike ride on the athletics track of the Fuorigrotta Stadium.
The itinerary of the Tour of Italy which, we remember, this year it will also touch Naples and Bacoli.
What does Randonnée mean
This term comes from the French and it means walk or hike. In fact, we are talking about walks over very long distances but for which there is no ranking. They are not competitive races that involve challenges and, therefore, are within everyone's reach.
Anyone can decide to do it at your own pace and enjoying the panorama that our areas will reserve for him.
La Randonnée valid for access to other competitions
It is part of the BRM / ARI 200 km circuit which is part of the National Road Ari 2022 Championship, of the Rando Tour Campano and Rando Tour Magna Grecia for the year 2022. It will also be possible to achieve the new Ari national jersey 2023/2026 and it will be a valid step also for the pre-qualifications to Paris Brest Paris 2023.
Entries will end on March 10th.
How to register to participate
To participate in the Randonnée you have to consult the ARI site by 10 March and fill in the forms. Both cyclists registered with an institution affiliated with Coni and non-registered cyclists are accepted.
The paths of the Randonnée
As mentioned, two routes will start from the Mostra d'Oltremare di Fuorigrotta, one of 100 km andother from 200 km. Both are cycling routes.
The 100 km route
The novelty of this year is thehomage to Diego Armando Maradona because at the start there will also be a ride on the athletics track of the stadium Maradona by bicycle.
We will start from the Mostra d'Oltremare to touch other beautiful places:
- the stadium track with a bike ride
- you reach the seafront to admire the sunrise on the Posillipo hill
- the ascent of Coroglio for the beautiful Pausilypon
- we will go back towards Pozzuoli, Baia and Bacoli
- you will also arrive at Arco Felice and then towards Monte di Procida
- you already descend towards Lake Fusaro
- you get to Cuma
- you will go back up to Pianura and then reach Vomero
- you will go along via Tasso
- you arrive at Corso Vittorio Emanuele up to the Galleria Principe di Napoli
- from here you return to the Mostra d'Oltremare
The 200 km route
The first 100 km will be the same, in fact we will start and return to the Mostra d'Oltremare. From this point on you go towards Vesuvius:
- the path towards Vesuvius will lead to the historic Starace delicatessen in Pollena for a break
- you arrive at Trecase and admire the municipalities on the Golden Mile
- you return to Naples through the center, the Lungomare and up to the Mostra d'Oltremare.
