Tasting of typical products and popular music at the 2016 Capocollo Festival in San Marco dei Cavoti!

The 19 and 20 2016 August, in the Beneventan city of San Marco dei Cavoti, Will host the Capocollo Festival.

Thanks to a tasting menu the participants will taste one of the typical local products: the capocollo, the tasty cured meat obtained using the upper part of the neck and part of the back up to the sixth vertebra of the pig, salted for three four days and then washed with white wine, dried and covered with black pepper or ground hot pepper. Finally, it is placed in a casing, wrapped in a net of twine and left to dry in the air for three months.

We can also taste caciocavallo and cheeses of Fortore, homemade vegetables, local and potato salad homemade bread made with durum wheat flour, to make an inevitable shoe!

The event will be cheered by the presence of popular music groups. Furthermore, you can visit the medieval village with its numerous monuments and museums.
