Tastings, handicraft and folklore stands with the tasty festival of Casatiello 2016 in Sant'Arpino!
From 24 to 26 June 2016 the Festival of Casatiello a Sant'Arpino, in the Caserta area.
The event is an unmissable annual event in which we celebrate this rustic campano, prepared with cheese, lard, ciccioli and other cured meats.
One of them is hidden behind this mouth-watering dish Christian symbolism of rebirth of nature and spirit, which over the centuries has become a peasant tradition, especially of the Atellani, to celebrate the arrival of spring and wish a fruitful harvest.
In the last editions a Casatiello from the Guinness Book of World Records and a competition was also organized among the housewives of the town, custodians of the original recipe, to award the Best Casatiello of the year.
To entertain the public there will be food and wine stands and crafts of local products, entertainment for children, folk shows.

- 18:00: Piazza Umberto I; Via San Giacomo; Salvo D'Aquisto Square. Opening of the stand for the tasting of Casatiello and craftsmanship.
- 20 Hours: 30: Piazza Umberto I. A show of folk songs and dances with the group "A Paranza r'o Lione".
- 22: 30: Piazza Umberto I. From Made in Sud Cabaret show with the modern grandfather of "Nello Iorio".
Saturday June 25:
- 17 Hours: 00: Palazzo Ducale Court, Annullo Filatelico with the Sagra logo - Poste Italiane.
- 18 Hours: 00: Palazzo Ducale Court. Historical costumes by the section "Design of the fabric, fashion and costume" - Sculpture Exhibition by the students of Prof. T. Cominale and L. Caporaso - Exhibition of Figurative Arts by the students of Prof. F. Capasso, V Toscano and A. Del Gaudio - Liceo Artistico S. Leucio.
