Appointment to Angri for a delicious weekend with the 2016 Potato Festival!
From the 20 22 May 2016 food lovers can delight in the eighth edition of the Potato festival in Angri. Organized also this year by the Nomos Onlus association, it will be an opportunity to have fun and eat well in an atmosphere full of folklore.
On the streets of the city agricultural vehicles will parade, and the opening of the food stands will be accompanied by traditional peasant music and dances. New in this edition is the Ricciona potato, an ancient variety cultivated in Campania until the first half of the last century, which will be used for the preparation of typical dishes. Many specialties that you can taste: among these we find parmigiana and potato gnocchi, Neapolitan cod and zeppole potato sweets.
Between one tasting and another they will be exhibited craft items and will be organized exhibitions and workshops. For the first time there is the 'Miss Contadina' contest, while by participating in the VinciMenù contest you will have the possibility to win five complete menus.
