Ready to taste one of the "spicy" delicacies of the Sorrento peninsula? The Riavulillo Festival awaits you in Arola (Vico Equense) from 4 to 6 August 2013

In the enchanting Arola, Fraction Vico Equense, one of the most famous festivals of the entire Sorrento coast returns this year: the Sagra del Riavulillo.

Il 4, 5 and 6 August 2013 all lovers of the "spicy" taste will be able to take the opportunity to taste one of the most particular delicacies of the Campania region, in a very small village "overlooking" the Sorrento peninsula.

But what is the Riavulillo? It is a typical cheese from Arola, a caciocavallo of smoked spun dough, stuffed inside with black olives and crushed chilli.

A real treat served with many other specialties of the area. Among them the famous Provolone del Monaco, another slightly spicy cheese, and pork. All these delicacies will be served strictly on the grill, accompanied by bread, wine, limoncello, chestnut honey and sweets typical of the Neapolitan tradition.

The festival will last three days and will be held in the parvis of the church of S. Antonino, where every evening groups of local singers will perform who will delight visitors with popular and folk music.
