Traditions, songs, dances, good food and many events with festivals in Campania for the weekend!
Le festivals in Campania for the weekend of 18, 19 and 20 March 2016 they will delight us with the typical products of the territory of our region and with traditional music and dances. Furthermore, San Giuseppe will be celebrated with the traditional bonfires in his honor and the local customs of the various municipalities.
The consolidated Chocolate Days returns to Salerno, with many stands on the homemade chocolate and master chocolatiers who will reveal the secrets and properties of chocolate, while in Benevento Earth Day will be celebrated with the switching off the lights and a snack prepared by volunteers.
For the bonfires, the two most important events will take place in the Avellino area. But let's find out together the other events and festivals in Campania for the weekend!
Chocolate Days
The festival of homemade chocolate back to Salerno on the waterfront of the city. There will be many stands where you can taste and buy chocolate of every shape and taste, in the presence of the best chocolatiers in Italy. You can also participate in workshops where they will show the properties of chocolate and have fun with the events of each day.

Lu Faone
Ariano Irpino will celebrate the day of St. Joseph in the main square of the municipality with the so-called Phaon. It is the traditional bonfire which is lit every year for the Saint and also symbolizes the propitiatory passage from winter to spring. The references are precisely to the life of Saint Joseph who, in search of accommodation for himself and for Mary, was refused a room by a hotelier who demanded from him a fire in his cloak. Miraculously, St. Joseph succeeded in lighting it and not letting the cloak burn.
They know us during the evening dances, music and the traditions from Eboli with the brigands of the ermice. Of course, also many food stands for tastings of pizza, panini and the "patanums under the ashes”For the after-bonfire.

Bonfire in Vallesacarda
Also in Vallesaccarda there will be a great one bonfire for San Giuseppe, accompanied by a rich and tasty barbecue with the best local meat. Everything will be accompanied by songs, dances and of course also food stands with many typical products of Irpinia.

- 24.00 hours: lottery draw and, following, musical selection of DJs

Earth Hour
A series of interesting initiatives will be organized in Benevento guided tours, walks, stories, tales and turning off the lights in some places in the city. All to celebrate the "Earth Hour", get to know the beauties of the area and taste the many gastronomic products Typical. In fact, in the evening there will be a special snack with dishes prepared by volunteers and will be given a chocolate egg to those who register with the Association that organized the event. There will be shows and music for everyone.
