Traditional dances, songs, tastings and lots of fun with festivals in Campania in the last weekend of February 2016!

In this weekend of February Campania reserves us some interesting events, not real festivals, but initiatives of various kinds that will make us rediscover them beauties of our region and taste the exquisite local products.

In weekend of 26, 27 and 28 February 2016 you can participate in the traditional and deep-rooted festival of Salerno "People and Tammorriata“, In which numerous popular bands will perform traditional dances and songs. There will also be space for quality craftsmanship and local gastronomic products, with many debates and insights.

Even Naples, this time, will delight us with the popular music, thanks to the review Festibàrb at the former Asilo Filangieri where dances and songs of the Alto Salento of Brindisi will be offered, including guitars, mandolins and salon dances.
In the Avellino area, a visit to the suggestive Lancellotti Castle with tastings, while in Eboli the Compagni di Banco initiative continues, which surprises us every week with a chef's menu.

Festibàrb

It is the new appointment with the Festibàl initiative that takes place at the former Asilo Filangieri in Naples and which, this weekend, makes us live the musical traditions of the Upper Salento of Brindisi. This is the music and dances of San Vito dei Normanni. The name Festibàrb refers to the salons of barbers where, over the decades, entire repertoires of guitar and mandolin music were developed that included music for salon dances, serenades, pizziche, Neapolitan songs.
This week everything will be possible to live in the center of Naples, completing everything with one brindisina dinner and local specialties and wine. Also, you can play the San Vito mandolin.

The Castle and its riches

La Pro Lauro organizes a really interesting and tasty event at the Lancellotti Castle, with a series of guided tours e tastings. You can visit the noble rooms of the ancient structure, take souvenir photos inside the Stable and visit the many souvenir stands. Of course, there are also many tastings of the products typical of Avellino. An opportunity also to visit the town of Lauro.

People and Tammorriata

In Salerno a festival conceived by the Daltrocanto Association, now in its eighth edition. An initiative that they are not wants enhance local traditions, but also to give work to local young people who want to engage in various sectors such as that ofquality craftsmanship and the organization of events. It will be an opportunity to talk about popular music and will take place on three evenings. In the first two we will focus on insights and debates and there will be small ones musical and concert setsthe. During the third evening there will be the actual festival with the performance of singers, dancers and tammorriata players of the province of Salerno. Among the artists there will be the Dissonanti, the Musicians Basso Lazio (MBL), Paolo Apolito, the Amarimai and many others.

The Association "Al Ciauliello - artisan cooking workshop" continues to organize its gastronomic review in the town of Eboli for promote the territory and local products. Like every week, until March, there will always be different guests and chefs who will prepare a personalized menu. This seventh will be Antonio Martuscielli with his menu that includes: PanGurmè Jevulese combined with one craft beer "Agrado company".
Each appointment also aims to raise funds to redevelop the area.
