Sanremo 2023, Codacons denounces Blanko for damage
Codacons presented a complaint to the Imperia Public Prosecutor's Office and to the Court of Auditors following the episode that occurred during the first evening of the Sanremo Festival. Evening during which the singer it badly damaged the stage set up.
Blanco's action risks constituting a crime pursuant to art. 635 of the Penal Code, which provides for imprisonment from one to five years for anyone who destroys, disperses or damages movable or immovable property of others, and economic damage to Italian citizens, who finance Rai through the license fee.
The Codacons therefore asks that an investigation be opened to verify whether the conditions for a crime exist and whether an action is initiated against the artist to compensate the tax damages caused.
Beyond the vulgarity of the gesture and its inappropriateness, having destroyed the scenography of the Festival could lead to real crimes. Art. 635 of the penal code establishes that 'Anyone who destroys, scatters, deteriorates or renders, in whole or in part, useless movable or immovable property of others on the occasion of demonstrations taking place in a public place or open to the public is punished with imprisonment by a at five years'
