The 25 and 26 August 2019 strike in the Autostrade also involves the casellanti of Naples. Here are the schedules.
A new strike by toll booth workers on the Autostrade motorways will cause significant disruption to travellers on 25 and 26 August 2019. Naples will also be affected, and the problems will certainly be significant, considering that thousands of people are expected to return from their holidays.
The strike was called by Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Sla Cisal, and Ugl Viabilità e Logistica. Specifically, the strike will run from the morning of Sunday, August 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a four-hour break, and will resume from 6:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26th (i.e., the night between Sunday and Monday).
During these hours, toll booth workers and shift workers not subject to strike regulations will be on strike. However, during the last four hours of the service, employees with staggered and split shifts will be on strike, while technical and administrative staff will also be on strike for the first four hours of the shift on Monday, August 26th.
The reason for the strike is always the breakdown of negotiations on the renewal of the national contract.
