The President of the Region, Vincenzo De Luca, announced that theopening of schools in Campania, after the long blockade caused by the Coronavirus health emergency, will take place on September 24, 2020.
A decision different from that taken by the other Regions which instead accepted, as a date of return to school 14 September 2020, as established by the Minister of Education, Lucia Azzolina.
Opening of schools in Campania
Vincenzo De Luca harshly criticized the decision taken by the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina and the government, as according to the President the staff would be still undefined and organized in addition to lack of funds for school construction.
In addition, the Governor also contested this decision regarding the elections to be held on 20 September 2020, a month that should have been devoted exclusively to returning to school.
In fact, De Luca had proposed to go to the polls in July, but this proposal was not accepted. For this reason, open the schools on September 14th and then close them again for the elections, for De Luca it is one truly irresponsible decision.
