You will remember that a few days ago theentrepreneur Flavio Briatore has sparked a series of controversies insinuating that the Pizza may it be of poor quality considering the economic price that is paid on average in Naples. A fuss that will end, hopefully, tonight 23 June 2022 on TV with Briatore and Sorbillo who will "compete" on pizza.

But first things first.

According to Briatore, use good quality ingredients and have a price that stands on 4-5 euros does not guarantee the authenticity of the pizzas, also considering that in his restaurant a pizza can cost up to 65 euros.

Of course, the response of Neapolitan pizza makers there was no shortage and many of them reacted unanimously to defend our product, which has also become Unesco World Heritage. There was also one of the first to respond Sorbillo that has gave away pizzas out of his home in the historic center and who also proposed to go to Briatore's restaurant in Milan, with his staff of pizza chefs, "por to offer and make known to its customers accustomed to gourmet pizzas also the typical Neapolitan pizza. The international press takes up the controversy

It is emphasized how important pizza is not only for Neapolitans, but in general for Italians, and that it is generally made up of simple ingredients.

Both for this reason and because it is a generally popular dish, the prices are low and a Margherita costs an average of 4 euros. If you add special ingredients it can increase by a few euros, but not reach tens of euros.

Instead, there are places like the one in Briatore with offices in London, Montecarlo, Riyadh and also in Italy, precisely in Milan, where one pizza with Spanish Pata Negra ham sells for 65 euros and customers pay 49 euros for the one covered with black truffle flakes.

The challenge at Porta a Porta between Sorbillo and Briatore

The battle between Sorbillo and Briatore, as mentioned, will come tonight on TV in the Bruno Vespa program, Porta a Porta.
