Gino Sorbillo opens Pizza Gourmand on the Naples waterfront with regional pizzas

The famous Gino Sorbillo opens a new pizzeria on the Naples waterfront referring to the format that earned him another success, the Pizza Gourmand pizzeria, in which he proposes the regional pizzas with traditional products of each territory.

After opening this type of place in Milan and Rome, he decided to do it also in Naples near his second Neapolitan headquarters, Lievito Madre, which is located right on the beautiful Lungomare. Precisely, the pizzeria will be open on Via Partenope.

It will open thanks to the agreement made with Paolo Scudieri, founder of Excellencies Campane and will open right on the spot of this pizzeria.

When is the opening scheduled

The new Pizza Gourmand by Gino Sorbillo will open towards mid-February 2022if everything goes smoothly.

The Pizza Gourmand menu: regional pizzas

As mentioned, the pizzeria will be dedicated to regional pizzas each with at least 3 typical ingredients of the Region of reference. Each product will be chosen in compliance with slow food and the quality will always be high, as always done by Gino Sorbillo.

Here they are:

  • la Campania pizza it will be with fiordilatte di Jersey dei Monti Lattari, San Marzano tomato and Bagnoli Irpino pecorino cheese;
  • la Lazio pizza it will be with the bacon of Amatrice and the Lazio pecorino Vecchio Montanaro Dop;
  • la Calabria pizza it will have the 'nduja of Spilinga, the onion of Tropea IGP and the Crotone pecorino cheese;
  • la pizza from Liguria: San Stè della Val d'Aveto (raw cow's milk), fresh pesto of Genoese basil dop, mozarella, fresh cherry tomatoes, coarse ground black pepper;
  • la pizza from Lombardy: spicy gorgonzola from San Lucio slow food presidium, pork luganega in natural casing, mozzarella, organic EVO oil, basil;
  • la Sicilian pizza: tuna persa (from Solo Pascolo), Sicilian anchovies, cucunci (the niche of Pantelleria), datterini tomatoes, mozzarella, organic Evo oil, basil;
  • la Piedmont pizza: pizza stuffed with Bra sausage, toma di Crodo, mozzarella, tomato, organic Evo oil, basil;
  • la Veneto pizza: Vento d'Estate (cow's milk) cheese aged in mountain hay, Veneto Berico-Euganeo ham, drops of San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, organic Evo oil, basil and honey (on request);
  • la Sardinian pizza: pizza with cheese percorino Tiu Ettori (noble sheep's milk), fiore sardo dop (sheep's cheese), salted ricotta from Oristano (Marcello Cuozzo), mozzarella, organic Evo oil, basil and honey (on request);
  • la pizza from Emilia Romagna: Parmesan Reggiano Gennari, Parma ham PDO, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, organic Evo oil, basil.

As we said, it is about the third pizzeria in Sorbillo dedicated to traditional pizzas and not only that, but as we know there are also i premises of Zia Esterina Sorbillo all focused on fried pizza.

There are precisely three and are located on via Tribunali in the historic center, in Vomero in via Luca Giordano and in Piazza Trieste e Trento. They are fried pizzas made according to the classic recipe and the ancient tradition with organic products and it is also possible to taste some original variations.
