The colossal sculpture created by the British artist arrives in Naples Anish Kapoor, which will enrich the line 7 subway station of Monte Sant'Angelo. It is a really large aluminum sculpture that will be positioned at the entrance to the Soccavo metro station.
Given its large size and to ensure that it arrives intact at its destination, the Municipality of Naples has decided to close the streets of the Soccavo district to traffic for an entire night. The work will be moved disassembled with an exceptional transport and only once it has reached its destination will it be reassembled.
The traffic plan
Given the exceptional transport, entrusted to the Fagiolini SpA company, the Municipality of the City of Naples has ordered an ordinance with which it establishes the closure of the streets of the Soccavo District from 18:00 on Saturday 10, to 06:00 on Sunday 11 December 2022.
The sculpture assembly area in Viale Traiano at the corner of Via Adriano will be moved to the corridor exit of the Monte Sant'Angelo station. The transport will take place in the absence of vehicular transit, along the main carriageways of Viale Traiano, with the exception of the lateral intervials which can be used for alternative roads.
