In the decree law 4/2022 there are some rules in favor of elementary school pupils which also include the ability to carry out free quick swabs, behind medical prescription.
The general against the Covid emergency, Figliuolo, sent a letter to the Regions, therefore also in Campania, to give indications on the implementation of rapid antigenic swabs that must be free for primary school students when there is contact with a positive at Covid at school.
In addition to this provision, the decree also speaks of the free distribution of FFP2 masks to self-supervised staff and students.
This decision extends the free rapid antigen testing measure that is already in place for middle school and high school students.
A doctor's prescription is required
Quick antigenic swabs will be offered free of charge to pupils:
- by the local health authorities;
- from pharmacies;
- from affiliated structures;
- to the pediatrician;
- to the general practitioner.
As said, it is you must have a doctor's prescription. So, once contact with a positive Covid case at school has been ascertained:
- the family notifies the medical health insurance company primary care or pediatrician who will carry out the swab;
- or, the doctor will do write a prescription for the swab in a pharmacy or other health facility
The distribution of FFP2 masks
Instead, the FFP2 masks will be distributed directly from the schools to the pupils who will be in self-monitoring. The measure is made possible by the government's investment of 45,22 million euros.
They will always be distributed to pupils and also to self-supervised school staff.
