From Sunday 14 June 2020 the Trenitalia summer service starts in Campania, with new connections and the new application!
From Sunday June 14 2020 the summer service of Trenitalia in Campania with many news and also many promotions for all citizens who intend to use Trenitalia for their journeys, both for pleasure and for business reasons.
The summer service is organized with the aim of launching a signal of recovery and rebirth after the months of inactivity and total blockage due to the pandemic.
The new links
At the heart of the summer service are the new connections that will allow you to travel throughout Italy, from North to South. From June 14, the connection Naples - Turin it will be extended over the weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Bardonecchia, with a stop in Oulx.
New connections also with ports and airports, thanks to the integration method regional train + bus it will be possible to reach the airport and the port of Naples and Salerno but not only, thanks to this modality it will also be possible to reach Pompeii, the Amalfi coast and Cilento.
Two trains Frecciarossa Turin - Reggio Calabria they will also stop at Sapri, Vallo della Lucania, Agropoli e Pisciotta-Palinuro. Also Naples, Salerno, Sapri and Capaccio they will be stop locations for the new one Frecciargento Venice - Reggio Calabria.
The new app
Trenitalia also launches a fantastic one news, that is the new one application which can be downloaded from Monday 22 June 2020 on the Android and iOS stores.
Among the interesting news there is certainly the self check-inin fact, through a simple click on the link of the journey, the passenger communicates his presence on the train to the conductor, thus respecting also the social distancing imposed by law.
This feature is currently available only for Frecce and Intercity tickets, but soon it will also be available for regional transport. For the latter instead there will be the function counter thanks to which the passenger will be able to know the exact number of seats available on board the train and thus purchase the ticket.
Also for those who purchase the ticket through the Trenitalia app, the website and call center will receive 30% more points until Tuesday 30 June Cartafreccia.

Trenitalia offers various promotions and discounts to those who choose to spend their own holidays in Italy. To travel on all regional trains between 12 noon on Friday and 12 noon on Monday, from Wednesday 24 June it is possible tobuy a single ticket at 49 euros for four weekends or 149 euros for all weekends. Also from Wednesday 24 June and throughout the summer of 2020, children and young people up to 15 travel for free on regional trains.
Furthermore Trenitalia has started a collaboration with Helbiz, the company of sustainable micro-mobility. All travelers who register on the Helbiz App they can enter their own code Cartafreccia within the personal area and thus obtain a point Cartafreccia for every euro spent on the use of Helbiz scooters and e-bikes.
