Finally I am finished the works for the realization of theUniversity of Scampia, indeed precisely the Scampia Complex, which is ready to start the first courses that will inaugurate the Faculty of Health Professions. This university is part of the Federico II of Naples and it took 15 years before the project conceived by the architect Vittorio Gregotti was completed.
The last finishing touches are still missing, but basically it can be said that the work has been completed.
The first courses will start on Monday 17 October 2022 mentioned and students will be able to follow the lessons every day.
How the Scampia University Complex is made
The building of this university branch looks like a large cylinder of 7 floors (two of which are underground) at the center of which is the entrance hall. It is largely covered with glass, so inside it is very bright and you can also see the sky.
The rest of the structure is made up of Vietnamese stone and not Vesuvian since procuring a quantity necessary to build the building was too complicated. All completed by asign of 11 meters with the inscription “University of Naples. Scampia Complex "e blue banners of 5 meters with the university name and logo in white.
In the first two floors the courses will be followed and exams will be carried out, while al 3 plan there will be clinics, al 4 plan both clinics and hospitalization rooms, al 5 plan there will be operating theaters.
The classrooms for lectures and studies for teachers and the common areas and services are also in the two basement floors. The classrooms can hold 2143 students in total.
On the outside, an olive tree will be planted in the center of the agora. Instead, the car park will contain 95 indoor spaces and 80 outdoor spaces.
The professors' studies will soon have to be furnished library on two levels with a beautiful scenographic game between the first and second floors, and the computer rooms next to the library.
Stationeries and cafeterias also open
Around the faculty there will also be stationeries, bookbinders and copy shops, fundamental activities for students, and also cafeterias in which to have lunch during breaks from studying.
