The vaccine mix: how it works
- Over 60s who have already received the AstraZeneca vaccine as their first dose, will also receive the same vaccine in the second dose. In fact, according to the AIFA, this vaccine should be administered to those over 60, unless there are problems that preclude its use;
- the under 60 who received AstraZeneca as the first dose, will receive Pfizer or Moderna as the second dose, which is one of the mRNA vaccines;
- to under 60s who have not yet received the vaccine, either Pfizer or Moderna will be administered.
