Guided night tours through the ancient streets and mansions of Herculaneum and walks on the Grand Cone of Vesuvius, from June to September 2014
From June to September 2014 you can participate in specials guided night tours in two of the most evocative cultural and archaeological sites of our city, i Excavations of Herculaneum and Vesuvio.
Stories Sepolte, this is the name of the artistic event that will allow extraordinary night openings for tourists and citizens, who can immerse themselves in magical walks that will be held on the cone of the Vesuvio, in the paths surrounding the crater, and among the Excavations archaeological sites of Ercolano. The methods, dates, times and rates of the visits are different for the two sites.
Herculaneum
The guided tour will show an unprecedented nocturnal version of the excavations of ancient Herculaneum, among his “buried stories” that will emerge, in a dimension between real and virtual, between historical tales and suggestions of light, theatrical and musical performances. Visitors will witness an incredible 3D projection of the Vesuvius eruption, they will participate in a walk with an archaeologist who will guide them in a suggestive descent towards the arches, walking between streets and ancient houses.

Vesuvio
A suggestive and breathtaking walk in the moonlight around the Gran Cono del Vesuvio, where you can discover places and stories of the past in contact with wild nature and thanks to a theatrical performance, in a silent and exciting atmosphere, where you can listen to ancient and modern tales whispered by the crater. Visitors will be accompanied by volcanological guides who will revive the experiences of travelers on the Grand Tour fascinated by this mythical mythical volcano.

The excursion is not recommended for heart patients.
In case of bad weather or force majeure, the ascent to the crater can be suspended by the volcanological guides. In case of rain the event could be canceled.
