Via Tribunali in Naples will be a pedestrian area on weekends to regulate the large turnout of people on weekends!

Until June 30 2017 the Municipality of Naples made the decision to close to car traffic the area of Via Tribunali in the historic center, during the three days of the weekend, that is, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The measure is necessary to better allow the pedestrian crossing and will be on an experimental basis, therefore, until the summer and will begin Friday 17 February.

Una necessary solution to cope with the large number of people who crowd the streets of the old town at weekends and in particular this street, famous for its delicious pizzerias. The decision is part of the traffic-limiting solutions in the historic center that the 2nd and 4th municipalities are defining better.

The pedestrian area

Particularly the areas concerned will be the following: Via Tribunali, from Via Nilo to Via Duomo, vico Purgatorio ad Arco, piazza San Gaetano, piazza San Gregorio Armeno, piazza Gerolomini, vico Cinquesanti, vico Giganti and vico Gerolomini.

Opening hours

The temporary device will be active on Friday and Saturday from 10.00 to 23.00 and Sunday from 09.00 to 15.00.
