The pedestrian area of ​​via dei Tribunali in Naples finally opens!

Following last year's resolution on the proposal of the Councilors Alessandra Clemente and Mario Calabrese, the pedestrian area of ​​via dei Tribunali in Naples opens starting from December 2019.

More precisely, the pre-exercise phase will start on November 8th and will end on 7 December, the period during which the access of via dei Tribunali, corner via Nile, will be manned by the Police, which will also give useful information to citizens about the new Pedestrian Area.

Subsequently, from December 8 day, the Police will no longer be present for the presidium and the electronic gate, which has already been installed, will be active. In this way, fines for transgressors will be automatically detected.

Exceptions to the gate: who can access the Pedestrian Area

Residents of citizens in the area they can automatically pass through the Pedestrian Area, without having to make a request. Who is not a resident, but is the owner of an off-street parking space, he must apply to obtain the permit at the Municipality 2 office in Piazza Dante.

Furthermore, can access:

  • vehicles of law enforcement, emergency and rescue forces;
  • Civil Protection vehicles only for activities to be carried out in the Pedestrian Area;
  • vehicles, including taxis, that accompany disabled people in the pedestrian area;
  • Taxis and NCC (rental with driver) to pick up or accompany users inside the Pedestrian Area;
  • vehicles carrying goods for internal services in the Pedestrian Area (loading and unloading allowed from 8.00 to 10.00 for a maximum time of 30 minutes);
  • vehicles of Companies and Companies that provide public services only for activities that take place in the Pedestrian Area.
