With the Prevention Woman initiative, breast visits, screening and free consultations at the Rotonda Diaz in Naples.
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2017, both at Rotonda Diaz of Naples women will get medical consultations and free oncology screening, thanks to the staff of ASL Napoli 1 who will be available for the event for two mornings Prevention Woman.
In this sort of clinic, open from 9.00 am to 13.00 pm, will be present Gianfranco D'Ercole (head of UOMI 24), Gilda Bellucci (senologist and head of breast screening), Francesco d'Albore (gynecologist and head of cervical screening), Carmina Altieri and Emilia Gargiulo (obstetricians and carers at birth) and the doctors Ventura, Fiore, Tempone, Arienzo and D'Auria.
This is a key initiative for inform women about the importance of having regular checkups to prevent breast cancer and other typically female diseases. Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer in women so prevention is necessary to diagnose it in time and attack it. In addition, theself-diagnosis with breast self-examination from the age of 20, naturally accompanied by annual visits to the gynecologist or breast specialist, while from the age of 50 it is recommended to have a mammogram every 2 years.
The event at the Rotonda Diaz in Naples can be a first step for many women who have not undergone these checks so far, also to push them to be more responsible from this point of view.
