The beautiful ones are back guided tours in the wonderful Bay of Ieranto, a jewel of the Sorrento coast in Campania, one of the special places of the FAI.

This year from August until the whole month of September we will be able to participate in the activities of the “La Baia at the bottom of the path” initiative, a conservation, protection and environmental education project that has been going on for 10 years in collaboration with the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area in order to protect these places.

The initiative provides walking, trekking, kayaking and snorkeling tours to discover the natural beauties of the Bay of Ieranto, but also its historical-archaeological peculiarities. All always in an eco-compatible way.

From August to October they will also take place nocturnal observations of the sky and trekking.

Activities to discover the Bay of Ieranto

There are different types of visits to which you can participate, including the integrated Terra-Mare one which starts from Nerano on a beautiful and very scenic route. Let's see everything in detail.

The integrated land-sea visit

As mentioned, it starts from Nerano, precisely from the small square of the town and continue along a path from medium difficulty trekking (indicated as Via Ieranto) which reaches up to the Bay of Ieranto. A panoramic walk overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. We stop for a break at the farmhouse, we visit the Montalto Tower and the industrial archeology complex of the former Italsider quarry. In the afternoon we leave by kayak to discover the caves along the coast, from the Baia Grande to Punta Campanella. You can also dive with mask and fins to explore the seabed with their underwater wonders.

Guided tours limited to land and water

These paths each last 1 hour and a half and they leave every day to give way even to those who do not have the whole day to discover the nature and the beauties of the place. An always interesting way to get to know the best techniques for safeguarding the Bay and its natural environment.

Marine Observations

With marine observations i volunteers, researchers and guides lead us to the discovery of protection projects e conservation of marine biology. They last either a couple of hours or a whole day, depending on what you choose.
