At the Terme di via Terracina in Naples, in the neighborhood Fuorigrotta, you can make new free guided tours!
They come back Free guided tours to the suggestive Roman Baths in via Terracina in Naples with two appointments on 8 and 9 September 2018. The archaeological complex is located in the Fuorigrotta district and, although they are not as well known as other sites, they are interesting to visit thanks to the presence of mosaics and remains of houses.
To organize the guided tours is the Neapolitan Archaeological Group that will do more turns on the two days of the weekend.
When it was in operation, the complex of the Roman Baths in via Terracina was divided into two levels and it was fed by the Serino Aqueduct. Visitors could follow various spa routes and, among these, there was one that included some tanks with water at different temperatures.
Today, among the mosaics found, you can admire fantastic marine animals a Nereid sitting on a Triton and Dolphins.
Normally, the Baths are closed to the public, but thanks to the Neapolitan Archaeological Group you can make free visits, so the opportunity is tempting for anyone who has not yet admired them.
