Guided tours, theatrical performances and tributes to Pier Paolo Pasolini with the “Live in memory” initiative in Naples.

From 31 October to 8 November 2015, At the commemoration of the dead, the Department of Culture of Naples organized the event Live in memory, in which there will be some unusual guided tours in the historical and monumental cemeteries of the city and a homage to the artist Pier Paolo Pasolini.

A temporal excursus on the cult of the dead, which has a pagan origin spread in Magna Graecia to the present day, which represents a bridge between our past and the present.
Visitors can go to the cemetery of the Fontanelle, of Santa Maria del Pianto, of Poggioreale, and alle oldest tombs, as the mound of Virgil, Greek Hypogea of the Sanità district. In these places, where our dear and many illustrious Neapolitan personalities rest, will be place shows, theatrical visits, readings that will accompany the ritual religious celebrations.

Among the various scheduled events, the 2th November it will be the culmination day since the master Roberto De Simone will celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the death of Pier Paolo Pasolini, with the "Celebratory concert for Pier Paolo Pasolini“, In which Brazilian music will marry religiosity and meet Bach's classical music.

Una search for different languages which reflects the art of Pasolini, who was a writer, director, screenwriter, playwright, journalist and linguist in search of communication. And he declared: "death is not in not being able to communicate, but in being unable to be understood anymore".
