In Agerola Sant'Antonio Abate is celebrated with music and a typical local menu

agerola continues its celebration in honor of Sant'Antonio Abate. After the festive start of 13 and 14 January, attention now shifts towards the culmination of the celebrations scheduled for 28 January 2024 in the fraction of Pianillo.

This day promises to be a triumph of music, songs e culinary delights typical, all elements that blend into the enchanting atmosphere created by the traditional ones Bonfire of Sant'Antonio, a symbol of warmth and community.

The program of the event

We start on January 13th between music and gastronomy

The first date, Saturday January 13, will open at 18:30 with “Delicata Carezza”, a concert polyphonic performed masterfully by the “Gli Incanto” choir. Will follow, at hours 20:00, the preparation of Sant'Antonio bonfire in the square, a moment of sharing and community warmth. The evening will be enlivened by a menu which celebrates the pig, the undisputed protagonist of local cuisine:

  • 0 ventr à nsalat
  • Pasta, the zit allardata
  • Liver in mesh and bay leaves
  • Traditional dessert
  • Wine

All accompanied by popular songs.

On January 14th the tradition and folklore continues

The celebration continues on Sunday January 14 at 19:00 am, with the bonfire of Sant'Antonio in the square and the raising of the Child to the sound of Minori's "Symphonia" Zampogne. Around the bonfire, participants will be able to enjoy a another delicious menu:

  • Ragù all'Agerolese
  • Cuzztiell with pork rind and beggar
  • Traditional dessert
  • Wine

This evening is an ode to tradition and local folklore, a moment to fully immerse yourself in the community and celebratory spirit of Agerola.

January 28, the last day of the celebrations

The celebrations will end on 28st January, with another event full of surprises and local traditions. These days dedicated to Sant'Antonio Abate are a magnificent opportunity to rediscover and fully experience the culture and customs of Agerola, uniting the community in an experience of celebration and sharing.
