The activities of the wonderful Teatro San Carlo continue with a program full of events in February, among these there is certainly the unmissable show Aida, the four-act opera by Giuseppe Verdi with libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni.
The entire show will last 3 hours, with a single interval, and will be held in Italian with English surtitles. On stage, in addition to the performers, the wonderful Ballet of the Theater directed by Clotilde Vayer, the Chorus directed by Jose Luis Basso and the orchestra directed by the maestro Michelangelo Mazza.
There are 7 appointments, from 15 to 26 February 2022.

The plot of Aida, the work of Giuseppe Verdi
Aida, the daughter of Ethiopian king, during war between Ethiopia and Egypt, is enslaved and taken to Egypt. During this captivity, Aida falls in love with the commander of the Egyptian troops, that is Radames, who, however, does not know his true identity.
However, Radamès, who returns Aida's sentiment, is already betrothed to the daughter of the pharaoh amneris. When the King of Ethiopia, Amonasro, is taken prisoner in turn, pushes Aida to let Radamès reveal the plans of the Egyptian troops.
When Radamès discovers the deception, he constitutes himself as a traitor to his homeland and is sentenced to be buried alive. Aida, madly in love with him, he will not abandon him, but rather will be buried with him.
