Free admission to the Botanical Garden of Naples for the anniversary of the Federico II University 

Il 4 June 2016, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 792 years from the birth of the Federico II University of Naples, the university opens its doors to citizens by giving special events in all its monumental, educational and museum locations.

Great importance will be given toBotanical Garden that will remain open by 9: 00 13 to: 30 allowing free access. The University of Naples Federico II as well as being the largest in the south, is considered one of the oldest in the world. It was built at the behest of Frederick II of Swabia who wanted to create a secular university, open to all citizens of the empire. And it is precisely to keep the desire for him alive that the rector has decided to open the doors of its structure and those connected to the whole community allowing admiring its greatness from an artistic and cultural point of view. The program created specifically for the day will be full of events, guided tours, readings, workshops, musical performances, exhibitions and markets. During the day the plaque will be displayed for the dedication of the Tropical Greenhouse to Professor Paolo De Luca. Let's see in detail the program.
