Mobility news Amalfi Coast, a special provision was in fact issued to limit vehicular traffic for two months in a row. In fact, as established by the Municipality, from Tuesday 1 August 2023 and until 30 September 2023 on Amalfi state road 163 will be in effect circulation with alternating number plates.
In recent months, this provision was only active on weekends, but now, with the new provisions, it will be valid every day of the week.
What the provision provides for alternating plates
In particular, the measure will be active every day from 10:00 to 18:00, in the following way:
- in giorni with date odd transit will be forbidden for all plates with last numeric digit odd
- On days with date equal transit will be forbidden for plates with the last numeric digit equal
Who is excluded from the provision
From this provision will be excluded:
- Residents in the 14 Municipalities of the Amalfi Coast, including Agerola
- Vehicles serving H badge holders provided they are present on board at that time
- Taxis
- The Nccs
- The emergency vehicles
- Police vehicles
- Guests of hotel and non-hotel facilities with a regular reservation. Circulation is possible limited to the movements necessary for arrival and departure
- Non-resident workers on the Amalfi Coast provided they have a regular contract in public or private structures in the 14 municipalities
- Non-resident homeowners on the Amalfi Coast with certification from the municipalities where the home is located
