The pharmacy of the incurable will be the protagonist of a new cultural journey between art and science!
The extraordinary Pharmacy of the Incurables of Naples, will wait for visitors and tourists for a new and exciting guided tour.
The appointment is set for the 21 February 2015 with "Art and Science", the cultural itinerary among the wonders of the Museum, of the old Pharmacy and of the Cloisters of the ancient Neapolitan nosocomium.
Organized by the Cultural Associations Curiocity and "The Hippocratic Lighthouse", the interesting journey will start from the Monumental Courtyard and will continue through the beauties of the Cloisters of the Medical Garden and of S. Maria delle Grazie.
The participants, therefore, will be able to know and discover the masterpieces on display at the Cappella dei Bianchi and S. Maria del Popolo, the majestic double staircase in piperno, the furnishings in walnut, the capitals, the majolica, the sixteenth-century courts and the prestigious baroque style that clearly transpires between the ancient rooms of the former most important hospital in southern Italy.
Particular attention will also be focused on the Museum of Sanitary Arts, an ancient center of excellence famous for medical research and the production of medicinal herbs. A place that has so much to tell, where art and medical science come together in a perfect mix, a place where "Art helps to heal". Not to be missed.
