The Bosco di Capodimonte reopens on May 18: the historic avenues have been restored

Finally, after many weeks of closure due to the lockdown, the Wood of Capodimonte in Naples it reopens to the public Monday 18 May 2020 from 7.00 to 19.30.
Phase 2 for the Bosco begins a little late compared to other activities, always in the context of the containment measures of the Coronavirus infection, while the opening of the Museum will take place on 2 June.
The restoration of the avenues and of the Late Baroque Garden
During this lockdown period, they have also been eighteenth-century avenues restored. The redevelopment and enhancement of the historic garden has included works in 24 hectares of forestareas that could not be accessed until now. In total, it's about 14 km of avenues and there are well 1000 among new trees and shrubs.
It has also been restauraot the Late Baroque garden and returned to its original form. Recall that he suffered a lot of damage due to a storm in 2018.
The new signage
A new signage has been created specifically to indicate to visitors exactly what to do and what not to do and the routes are indicated with precise colors.
Walk path - green color
You walk with wearing the mask along the avenues and in the areas indicated by the dark green color on the map. It is also possible to do this in the Belvedere area by keeping the distance of 1 meter. Obviously the gatherings.
Ornamental lawns cannot be walked on in front of the Royal Palace.
Jogging path - light blue color
Obviously, free admission to the Bosco di Capodimonte will be "limited" only by some rules to follow to be able to walk and jog safely.
First, a special route for those who go jogging. Also, everyone else will have to wear the mask at the gates to walk in and out and respect the safety distances indicated in the regulation that will be present in various points of the forest. They will be able to remove the mask only on "life paths" and, of course, while running.
Bicycle route - orange color
Un avenue is dedicated to cycling and is indicated on the new maps. The bike it must be carried out by hand to the route "Bicycle" marked in orange (it starts in the first avenue to the left of Porta di Mezzo, runs alongside the Caselli-De Sanctis Institute and goes back) and a distance of 2 meters from other cyclists. It is necessary to always wear the mask. By bike you cannot move on the other avenues.
Dog area
They are located in the Porta Piccola area (for small dogs) and on the lawns in front of the Pheasant (for large dogs). Again there is an obligation to wear the mask and respect the distance of 2 meters, avoiding gatherings.
The prohibitions
As for the bans, of course assemblies cannot be created, team sports cannot be practiced like rugby, football and cricket and it is no picnics allowed.
In addition, it is prohibited do sports or go cycling on the Belvedere, in the area opposite the Royal Palace or in other areas dedicated to the walk.
Opening time
Regarding the opening hours of the Bosco, the Director wrote, in a comment on the official Facebook page, which will remain open until sunset, but there is still no official information on the site or on the social media.
