New Year 2017 in Naples: the opening hours of the museums

The opening hours of the museums of Naples for the 2017 New Year period.

At Christmas time, and also for New Year 2017, there are many tourists who have decided to spend their holidays in Naples and for this reason almost all museums or cultural sites, state or private, will remain open regularly, even if with possible variations of timetable.

The proposals are very interesting and varied, with a choice between exhibitions and guided tours to discover the artistic treasures of our beautiful city.

Below, we indicate the times for the New Year period and we remind you that January 1, 2017 will be free state museums.

Museum Hours in Naples

National archeologic museum

Saturday 31 December: 9: 00-19: 30
Sunday 1 January 2017: 9: 00-19: 30 (free)

The National Archaeological Museum has inaugurated a site-specific installation of "impossible finds" by Michele Iodice "Ooparts, Out of Place Artifacts", with animal models that take us back in time. The exhibition dedicated to Carlo III di Borbone is also open to visitors, as well as the splendid Farnese collection and the Pompeian section.

Museum of Capodimonte e Real Bosco di Capodimonte

The gallery of Capodimonte, directed by Siylvain Bellenger, hosts a special Christmas version dedicated to children and their families, the initiative "Discover your museum", to discover its permanent collection.
