It will be the MANN, the National Archaeological Museum of Naples which for this year will host the Neapolitan celebrations for the Chinese New Year, the day January 31 2022 10 pm: 00.
Il Chinese New Year is the most important holiday in China, similar to our Christmas, a day when families get together and expose the good resolutions for the new year. This will be for them the year of the Tiger and the anniversary will fall on February 1st.
All the activities organized on the occasion of this new edition of the event are in collaboration with the Confucius Institute and the Cultural Association Hello China. It will be a good opportunity to promote cultural exchange between two peoples.
The special exhibit on display
On the occasion of these celebrations and the year of the Tiger, MANN will exhibit a very special archaeological find, or a wonderful mosaic that comes from the house of Faun and represents Dionisio, the god of intoxication and the liberation of the senses, riding a tiger.
The work will be presented at 17:00 in the atrium of the Museum with the special participation of the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, the rector of the Oriental University, Roberto Tottol, the director and co-director of the Confucius Institute, Paola Paderni and Cheng Hongjin.
The choice of time is not accidental, as 17:00 corresponds to 00:00 in Beijing.
